Publication Policy and Ethical Principles
All stakeholders are expected to bear ethical responsibilities within the scope of Altay Strategic Research Journal publication ethics for peer-reviewed studies that support scientific methods. Ethics committee approval must be obtained for research conducted in all branches of science that require ethics committee permission. Ethics committee approval must be stated and documented in the article. In research requiring ethics committee permission, information about the permission (committee name, date and issue number) should be included in the method section and on one of the first/last pages of the article.
Our journal has adopted the Open Access Policy. The copyright of the works submitted to our journal must be transferred to our journal.


Publication Policy
The Journal's Board of Directors acts with the awareness of the ethical responsibilities given in the articles. Altay Strategic Research Journal, which publishes electronically twice a year (June, December), is published free of charge as open access. If the Editorial Board and the Editor decide, a special issue may be published in addition to the existing issues. The works of the authors who have completed the article submission process to the journal are sent to the referees (at least 2) if they comply with the publication principles as a result of the initial evaluation by the editor and the editorial board. Due to the use of double blinding technique in the referee evaluation process, the identities of the author(s) and referees are kept confidential in all processes.


General information
Altay Strategic Research Journal's publication process is based on the impartial production, development and sharing of information using scientific methods, adhering to academic principles. In order to ensure ethical standards in the submitted scientific studies, we act in accordance with the ethical principles taken into consideration in the YÖK Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive, Higher Education Institutions Ethical Conduct Principles and TÜBİTAK - Research and Publication Ethics Board Regulation.
Altay Strategic Research Journal has the right to make corrections, publish or not publish all articles sent to it. It is important that all stakeholders involved in the process (authors, researchers, readers, referees, editors and publishers) comply with the standards established for ethical principles.

Editorial Board
The Editorial Board and Editors/Assistant Editors are responsible for every article applied to Altay Strategic Research Journal and even all processes after its publication. The Editorial Board ensures the determination and implementation of journal policies such as publication, blind refereeing, evaluation process, and ethical principles. The article's inclusion in the referee process by the Editorial Board does not constitute a commitment to publication. The Editorial Board always investigates allegations of plagiarism and misconduct regarding published articles.

Editor-in-Chief and Field Editors
Editors/Assistant Editors are responsible for every publication published in Altay Strategic Research Journal. They are responsible for taking precautions against intellectual property rights, unscientific-unethical behavior and plagiarism during the journal and article publishing process.

Publication and Responsibility Decision: Editor/Assistant Editors are responsible for deciding which of the submitted articles are in accordance with the purpose and publication policy of Altay Strategic Research Journal and will be published.

Impartiality: Articles sent to Altay Strategic Research Journal are evaluated based on transparent, clear and scientific criteria, without any prejudice, and without taking into account the religious beliefs, ethnic origins, race, nationality and political views of the author(s).

Confidentiality: Editor/Assistant Editors ensure the protection of personal data within the scope of publication principles and ethical principles. They do not disclose information about the texts to anyone other than the author(s), referees and the publisher.

Conflict of Interest: The Editor/Co-Editors do not permit the use of unpublished materials and data of the manuscripts by anyone without express and written permission from the author(s). It is obliged to protect the intellectual property rights of all published articles and to defend the rights of the journal and the author(s) in case of possible violations. In addition, editors are obliged to take the necessary precautions to ensure that the contents of all published articles do not violate the intellectual property rights of other publications.

Referees
Evaluation of all studies by "Double-Blind Refereeing" directly affects the quality of publication. Referees do not communicate directly with the authors, but convey evaluations and comments through the journal management system. In this process, evaluation forms and referee comments on full texts are conveyed to the author(s) through the editor.
Confidentiality: Must evaluate with impartiality and confidentiality. In accordance with the principle of confidentiality, they must destroy the studies they have examined after the evaluation process.

Objectivity: Referee evaluations must be objective and constructive. The academic proficiency of the article should be taken into account. Criticisms about the authors' personalities are not considered appropriate. Referees must present explanations and arguments to support their evaluations in the referee evaluation reports submitted by the journal editorship.

Declaration of Sources: Reviewers must identify relevant published work not cited by the author. A reviewer should also bring to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the work being reviewed and another previously published work to the best of their knowledge. If they detect a case of multiple publication or simultaneous application, they must notify them.

Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should not have a conflict of interest with the research, authors and/or research funders.

Support to the Editor: Reviewers should assist editors in the decision-making process and should also be able to assist authors in improving texts.


Author(s)
Articles sent to Altay Strategic Research Journal must not contain plagiarism and must be original. The maximum plagiarism rate accepted by the journal is 12%. The evaluation process of articles found to contain plagiarism is stopped. The author/authors have the right to withdraw the article until the publication decision is made for the article they have submitted, provided that they notify the journal editorial board. Author(s) should not use discriminatory language based on affiliations and identities such as gender, race, language, belief, culture, class, age, opinion, group and sexual orientation. They are responsible for indicating the stakeholders included in the studies. Person(s) who have a significant share in the work should be stated as co-authors. Consent of all authors is required for the study to be published.
Changing the author order, removing or adding authors should not be recommended for an article applied for publication. Authors are responsible for acting in accordance with current copyright law principles. If authors are asked for information or data regarding their articles during the evaluation process, they must submit the requested information to the journal editorship. They are also responsible for implementing and presenting correction suggestions of referees and editors.


Matters Requiring Ethics Committee Permission (Certificate of Approval)
Ethics committee approval is required for all kinds of qualitative or quantitative research conducted as a result of using survey, focus group study, observation, experiment, interview techniques as data collection techniques, clinical research conducted on humans, and retrospective studies (retrospective) conducted within the scope of the personal data protection law. is required. If there are informed volunteers in the study, it is necessary to inform them that the consent form has been signed. In addition, for the use of scales, surveys and photographs belonging to others, permission must be obtained from the owners and stated. In studies requiring ethics committee permission, information about the permission received (committee name, date and issue number) should be included in the method section and on the last page of the article. If the Ethics Committee Permission is not obtained for studies on the specified issues, the submitted articles will not be accepted.
